About

Hi people!

About me

I'm Serena, I'm 21 (oh gosh! I'm not a child anymore) and a close-to-graduation Economics student who is trying to figure out what she want to do for living (like a real job, you know?). At the moment, I'm living in Belgium for an exchange program but soon I'll come back to my home country to finish my last year of college.

About my blog

About two years ago, I couldn't even cook a decent dish that involved more than toasted bread and something random in between. Then someone showed me how cooking delicious meals (frequently involving spinach pie and chocolate chip muffins) could be a true gesture of love -and also that it's not so difficult! So, I started with baby-steps to approach the whole thing of cooking and I found myself loving this much more than I thought it was possible! I'm far from being a good cook or even a decent one, but I'm learning every day how to assemble good meals with more variety than before, to purchase good and whole ingredients and to cook with love for myself or for others. I'm also a true veggies-lover and I have a massive sweet tooth, so you'll see a lot of both worlds here!

The same someone also introduced me to my second -or first; no wait, second, the first thing is without doubt sleeping- thing that I love: photography! The same things I said about cooking can apply to photography: I'm not even closer to be a "Photographer", but I'm trying to improve every day and I find that this activity has a real relaxing effect on me and it can easily turn a bad day in a good one (of course, the alternative is always chocolate!). So I basically do things and I photograph them all. I especially love to take pictures of little things and food (I don't even consider to try to cook a recipe if it isn't paired with a photo of the dish).

I also have other interests, though! I truly love to run (especially the after-feelings) and I hope one day I'll be able to can call myself a runner; I also love other forms of exercise and as a former ballet dancer, I would like to find a way to maintain my flexibility through time (yoga anyone?).

Besides that, I have an unconditional love for shopping, especially if it involves flea market and second hand stores (and shoes), for travels, funny things and sarcasm.

I could also easily reading home-design and furniture magazine all day long and dreaming about my future super cute home. For now, I'm living in a super tiny little house that I love so much and that it's linked to the best period of my life.

I started this blog as a place where put photos of things that I ate, saw and loved each day. But now I'm feeling like it's time to take it to the next level! So, this is the place where I put all the messy and funny things that happens to me, where I talk about my food and fitness (and shopping) habits and about things that I love.

Enjoy!
Another thing about me: I tend to talk far too much- and to write far too much as a consequence-
